Ideal for adventurous trekkers
After breakfast in Moshi or Arusha, transfer to Machame Gate for registration and meet your mountain crew. The trek begins through dense rainforest filled with giant ferns and tropical vegetation. The trail gradually ascends, and you may spot colobus monkeys and exotic birds along the way.
After several hours of hiking, arrive at Machame Camp, located above the rainforest zone where temperatures become cooler.

After breakfast, leave the rainforest behind and enter moorland terrain with open views and volcanic rock formations. The trail becomes steeper, offering spectacular views of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro’s peak on clear days.
Arrive at Shira Camp, located on the Shira Plateau, one of the highest plateaus on earth.

This is an important acclimatization day following the principle of “climb high, sleep low.” Trek toward Lava Tower, reaching high altitude before descending to Barranco Camp.

Overnight: Barranco Camp
Begin the day by climbing the exciting Barranco Wall, a steep but non-technical scramble rewarding climbers with incredible scenery. Continue across valleys and ridges toward Karanga Camp.
This is a shorter trekking day designed for acclimatization and recovery before higher altitude climbs.

Today’s trek leads to Barafu Camp, the final base camp before the summit attempt. The landscape becomes barren and rocky with dramatic views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks.
After arriving, climbers rest, eat an early dinner, and prepare gear for the midnight summit attempt.

Overnight: Barafu Camp
Around midnight, begin the challenging summit ascent under the stars. Slowly climb via Stella Point and continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Witness a breathtaking sunrise over glaciers and plains below.
After celebration and photos, descend back to Barafu Camp for rest and continue down to Mweka Camp for overnight.
This is the longest and most demanding day of the trek.
