The safari begins in Entebbe and explores Uganda’s diverse ecosystems, from rolling savannah plains and crater lakes to dense tropical rainforests and snow-capped mountain backdrops. Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred to your hotel at 2 Friends (or similar), located close to the shores of Lake Victoria. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax after your journey or enjoy a leisurely evening at the lodge. This is a perfect opportunity to recover from international travel and prepare for the adventure ahead.
After an early breakfast, depart Entebbe and travel north toward the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where rhinos can be seen in the wild. On arrival, enjoy a guided walking safari with experienced rangers, tracking the endangered white rhinos on foot and learning about conservation efforts. After this memorable experience, continue your journey to Amuka Lodge, located on a private wildlife conservancy bordering Murchison Falls National Park. This morning, continue into Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most diverse protected area. After checking in at Pakuba Safari Lodge, head out for an afternoon game drive on the northern bank of the Nile. This area is renowned for its abundant wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, and a variety of antelope species. Start the day with an early morning game drive, when wildlife is most active. The northern plains offer excellent chances to spot predators returning from their nightly hunts, as well as large herds grazing in the cool morning air. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the Nile, cruising upstream toward the base of the powerful Murchison Falls. Snacks and beverages will be served onboard as you observe hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and prolific birdlife along the riverbanks. After breakfast, enjoy another morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, allowing time to explore areas you may not have visited previously. Later, depart the park and travel south toward Hoima, passing through scenic countryside and rural villages. After breakfast, continue your journey toward Kibale Forest National Park, famous for its rich primate population. In the afternoon, embark on a chimpanzee trekking experience, guided by expert trackers who will lead you through the forest in search of habituated chimpanzee families. This morning, drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive through the park’s diverse ecosystems, known for elephants, buffaloes, lions, and rich birdlife. During your stay in the Kyambura area, you will visit the Kyambura Women’s Coffee Initiative, where you will learn about sustainable coffee production, community empowerment, and sample locally produced coffee. Begin the day with an early morning game drive, ensuring exploration of both sectors of the park on either side of the main road, maximizing wildlife sightings and landscape variety. After a midday break, head out again for an afternoon game drive, followed by a private boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Snacks and beverages will be served as you glide between Lakes Edward and George, an area famous for its dense concentration of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and birdlife. After breakfast, transfer to Kihihi Airstrip for your scheduled domestic flight to Entebbe.
