Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari representative, who will assist you with baggage and transfer you to your hotel for an overnight stay at your lodge
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Entebbe Airport for your scheduled domestic flight to Kihihi, a scenic journey that offers breathtaking aerial views of Uganda’s lush landscapes. Upon landing, a safari driver-guide will meet you and transfer you to your lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive winds through rolling hills, rural villages, and fertile farmlands, giving you an authentic glimpse of life in southwestern Uganda. On arrival at your lodge, take time to relax, enjoy the forested surroundings, and receive a briefing about the following day’s gorilla tracking experience. Dinner is served as you immerse yourself in the serene ambiance of one of Africa’s most biodiverse forests.
Today is the highlight of your safari—tracking the magnificent mountain gorillas. After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will then begin your trek through the dense, mist-covered rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere from a few hours to most of the day, depending on the gorillas’ movement, but the reward is extraordinary. Once you find them, you will spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants as they feed, play, groom, and interact within their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the lodge to relax, share stories of your encounter, and enjoy a well-deserved community walk to the Batwa.
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Kihihi Airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe. Upon arrival, your safari representative will assist you with your onward arrangements, whether catching your international flight.
