The 6-day Bwindi & Queen Elizabeth Safari offers an unforgettable journey through two of Uganda’s most iconic national parks, combining classic savannah wildlife viewing with an intimate rainforest experience. This safari begins and ends in Entebbe and takes you through scenic landscapes, rich biodiversity, and vibrant local communities.
The adventure starts with a drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its diverse wildlife and dramatic scenery, including crater lakes, open savannah plains, and the famous Kazinga Channel. Guests enjoy thrilling game drives in search of elephants, lions, buffaloes, and antelopes, as well as a relaxing boat cruise that provides close-up encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife.
The journey continues south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The highlight of the safari is a guided gorilla trekking experience, offering a rare and emotional encounter with these gentle giants in their natural rainforest habitat. A cultural community visit adds depth to the experience by showcasing local traditions and conservation initiatives.

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly received by our representative and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the lodge and recover from your journey or enjoy a brief city or lakeside experience around Entebbe. Dinner and overnight will be in Entebbe, preparing for the safari adventure ahead.
After breakfast, you will depart Entebbe and begin your scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda. En route, you will stop at the Equator crossing for photographs, a brief experiment, and souvenir shopping. The journey continues through beautiful countryside, rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural communities. You will arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park in the late afternoon or evening, check in to your lodge, enjoy dinner, and overnight.
The day starts early with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, one of the best wildlife-viewing areas in the park. You may encounter elephants, buffaloes, lions, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and various antelope species, as well as numerous bird species. After lunch and a short rest at the lodge, you will enjoy an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise offers excellent opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birdlife at close range. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
After breakfast, you will depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive south through the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. A game drive through Ishasha offers a chance to spot these unique lions resting in fig trees, along with other wildlife. After lunch, you will continue the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through scenic highlands and terraced landscapes. You will arrive at your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight near the gorilla trekking sector.
After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before beginning your gorilla trekking experience. The trek can take anywhere from a few hours to a full day, depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once located, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. After returning to the lodge for lunch and rest, you will enjoy an afternoon community visit, interacting with local communities to learn about traditional lifestyles, culture, and conservation efforts. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
After breakfast, you will begin your return journey to Entebbe, driving through picturesque countryside with scheduled stops for lunch and refreshments along the way. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport in time for your departure flight, marking the end of your memorable Uganda safari.
