Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi. After a short briefing, depart for Masai Mara National Reserve, driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a stop at a viewpoint for photos. Continue through rural landscapes and local villages before arriving in Masai Mara in time for lunch at your lodge or tented camp.
After lunch and a short rest, head out for your first afternoon game drive in the reserve. Masai Mara is famous for its wide open savannahs and abundant wildlife, offering excellent chances to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, and predators such as lions and cheetahs. As the sun sets over the plains, return to camp for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast, depart for a full day of game viewing in Masai Mara with a packed picnic lunch. Spend the morning exploring different areas of the reserve, where wildlife sightings are plentiful and varied. You may encounter the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—as well as hyenas, jackals, and numerous bird species.
Later, enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush while taking in the breathtaking views of the endless savannah.
